Pinch & a Punch!!

Hi Room 5,
It was sooooo pleasing to sneak up on so many of you this morning & get in first with pinch & a punch for the first of the month!! I hope you enjoyed the first day of May and we are now into the last month of autumn!! I have enjoyed scrunching my way through dead leaves and watching the colours change.

I feel ready for winter now because in the weekend I ordered my firewood and it should be delivered today. Now I have to stack it all! Perhaps I will bribe Sam & Steph with something so that they can come and do it!!

I think we might be leaving the warm weather behind now, so please check that your sweat shirts and jackets have your names in them.


Thanks for the great trip to the library yesterday. The librarian was really impressed with your behaviour and said we were welcome back anytime!!

Dot & Jot

Hi Room 5, Just a reminder to continue gathering information on your topic. Add this information to a Dot & Jot list, including the source. On Monday afternoon Rooms 4 & 5 are going to the Papakura Public Library to access their resources. We will need a few parents to come with us to help. Please ask if someone in your family would like to come. We will leave school at 1:15 pm and return to school approx 2:45pm.

Wow Room 5 welcome to the world of blogging. I am looking forward to reading your work, thoughts, and reflections over the rest of the year on your blog. You are class no 4 to have a blog in the senior school so we will all be able to share our learning together through our blogs. Welcome back room 5!  I hope you have had a great holiday and ready for what is going to be another exciting term.

Writing groups will be starting week 1.  Fitness Rotation starts this Thursday and Topic Rotation starts this Friday. 

EXCITING: We have our own class blog.  We will be sharing, publishing, reflecting and giving feedback this term.  This week we will be sharing a highlight from the holidays and we will be giving each other positive feedback.
